How far back does my family history in the area go? My great (x4) grandparents received the first marriage license in St. Joe after it switched from Fort St. Joseph to the City of St. Joseph! As a lifelong resident of Berrien County I have a deep love of the lakes and rolling hills. I also have a strong knowledge of the cities and communities around Southwest Michigan. 

Even before getting licensed in real estate I had an interest in the business. Back in my 20's while working at my parents donut shop, Dale's Donut Factory, I was asked what I would do if I wasn't working there. Without hesitation I said real estate. The book No More Monday's by Dan Miller, is about finding the job you love so you will never have the Monday drudgery again. I can say without hesitation that real estate is definitely my No More Monday's career!

How do these two loves work together? Simple. I want people to live here! And I want to help them navigate the process of buying or selling their home. Purchasing a home is something people do just a few times in their lives. For many people it's the biggest investment they will ever make therefore they need to get the best deal in the purchase and every penny when they sell. Over the course of 19 years I've negotiated and closed hundreds of sales. No one should ever step into the process of buying or selling their home without the expertise of a Realtor. It is far too complex, the dollar amounts are high, documents are legally binding and problem solving requires creativity. For me, this job never gets dull because each sale has different challenges. And I like a challenge (i.e. I've run a half marathon and am training for the Chicago Marathon in October).
